In this short scene, King Lear's son raves to his father-in-law , "You doth that . . you do that" . He tells his father that if he wants a life, he can take it from him. The king tells his son that he's a king, and that he can kill him if he wishes. When the king's back is turned, the boy screams, "This is war" , referring to the fight between the two boys. The boy tells the king that he saw the fight, and the king says, "I was a king / You fool / / / Command warriors ." The boy says that he has never seen a fight like this before, and he thinks that the king snapped. He says that if the boy is okay, then he should get over his self and look at the boy's broken sword. The two boys look at each other, and they realize that the cave is falling apart.
