Now that he's back at the castle, the Governess is all, "What happened to the pre sent?" and "Why did he have to happen?" . He's so tired, in fact, that he doesn't even want to go to sleep. He wants to know what's going on, but he can't sleep because someone is coming to his grave. The Governess says she'll leave him alone for now, but she's not sure what to do. She wants to give the pendant to a dear friend, but the pendant isn't there. She asks if she can give it back to him if she ever sees him again. He says he'll never meet her again, but that's okay. The girl who gave the pendant is a "lucky girl" , and the man who gave it to her was a "wonderful man like you came to her" . She gave him the pendant for 50 years, and he gave her the rest .
