About This Chapter
In this short scene, we are introduced to a new character named "Rav" . He is a member of the Chaos Society, a group of scientists and engineers who have been working on the creation of aetherion, a super-powerful force that can create anything in the universe. In this scene, Rav tells us that he wants to know what it is that makes the universe exist. He explains that the universe is made up of two parts: the creation part and the destruction part. The creation part has the ability to create things from nothing, but also to destroy things. The destruction part can also create things, but it can also destroy them. This is why he has to kill Roxane. She is the only thing that keeps the universe from being completely annihilated by the force of Chaos. She has awakened the power of Chaos, but she is also dead. Rav wants to kill her, but he knows that if he kills her with his sword or with some other object, the force will be too strong for him to do so. He begs her to let him die. He wonders if even a person like him, who is about to die, has a life that twists and turns just before he dies.
