In this chapter, we learn that Enoshima is using his etherion powers to fight off the humans. Enoshima tells us that he's exhausted all of his willpower and that he can't stand the thought of fighting against a god. He says that the only way he can defeat a god is by using his own power. The only way to do that, he says, is to use the etherion that's in his wand. He warns Enoshima that he won't be able to use his power until he uses his own.
