Eno and the rest of the mercenary group are worried that they're about to be overrun by the thieving hordes of rats. Eno says that they should just ditch the rock that's blocking their path. He's worried that if they don't do so, they'll get overrun by a horde of rats, and that they won't be able to recover in time to fight back. He also worries that if he doesn't sleep, he'll lose his "powers of prophecy" , which means that he's going to lose his ability to predict the future. Eno thinks it's time for them to strike the rock, because it'll be a bad omen that the triumvirate is about to overrun the empire. Eno suggests that they just drop the rock and fight back, but dalton says that he can't, because he has no time. He tells Eno to take the air and chase the rave master, because the enemy has weakened. Eno is impressed with the strength of the Imperial Guard, and he says that the Emperor is now his right-hand man. He adds that he was in deep snow with them all along the way, and they've all been killed. Eno wonders how they can find them now, and wonders how he will fight the rave masters.
