In the south shelter, Ruby and the others are worried about the wounded girl. Ruby tells them that the wound is shallow and that she will be okay. She tells the others that the enemy has sent a message to the blue guardians asking for the girl. They have already found them, but Ruby says that they could actually use Iulius, who would never agree to this request. They decide to split into two groups, one to protect elie and the other to protect the village. They all agree that they will defend the girl, even though they are afraid that the village will be destroyed if they do not do so.
