This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Enoshima, the master of magic, in which he laments the fact that he has been unable to defeat the demon king. He laments that he will give up too much of his time in order to destroy Enoshima. He also laments his inability to summon the seven powers of the universe, which he believes are the most powerful weapons in the world. Enoshima tells his audience that he is the only one who does not have the ability to summon these powers, and he will use his last ounce of energy to destroy the king.
