In this short scene, Roxane and Enobarbus are in the middle of a cold night in the "black vortex" . Roxane is worried that she is about to die, but she is comforted by the thought that she will soon be reunited with her dead husband. She realizes that the two of them have been in the vortex together for a long time, and that they are now able to communicate with each other. She is also able to see that they have been unable to communicate in the past, and she realizes that they will be able to do so in the future.
