The two of them reminisce about the time they first met, when they saw each other's underwear at the races. The girl says that it wasn't her, but that it was an "icon" , which is a fancy way of saying that she is not elie. She says that she loves the girl for who she is, even though she is silly and selfish. She tells him to leave the rest of the conversation up to her, and she'll take care of the rest later. He says that he did what he had to do for them all, and that they're now no longer enemies. He doesn't want to fight the girl, he says, but he does want to live. He can sense the aetherion in the air, which means that the rave master is still alive. He wants to kill both of them.
