About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's going to ask a fortune teller to tell him his fortune. The fortune teller tells him that he should wear a special talisman for the next nine days so that he will be saved from the jokers in his group. The narrator says that only one man can handle all of these jokers, and that's the man who's wearing the new lunar spacesuit. The next man is the biggest and strongest man in the universe, followed by the next two. The third man stomps the most powerful man with the most sense of rhythm. And the fourth man stomp stomps with the "best sense of rhyme in nasa." The narrator asks his uncle why he didn't call him the day before. The uncle says that his friends will get mad at him and say that he doesn't know anything about the astronauts. He says that if he hadn't called yesterday, it would have been a totally different story. He tells the uncle that he kicked a friend in the back when he was eleven years old, and the friend got mad when he tried to leave. That's why he kicked the friend, not because it was a big deal at the time, but because he was too scared to call. He asks if the fortune teller will lend him the moon cake when he finishes telling his story, and he says yes.
