In this chapter, Scott describes how he's been able to use his new hands to do more and more of his daily tasks. He's so excited that he decides to assign one of his tasks to his new friend, the garbage compactor. Scott says that he feels like he has "another crew member" around him now that he can use his hands. He also says that having a person around makes him grow faster than he could before. Scott also gets a message from the lunar outpost's mission manager, Saturnio, saying that it's "time for the announcement" of the launch of the second manned mission. Scott is psyched to be able to announce the mission himself.
