About This Chapter
The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for the International Space Station. As they prepare to leave, one of the men asks the other if he is wearing a suit for his first flight. The other replies that he is not wearing one. The man asks if the man is taking it off, and the man replies that it is for one reason only: he is prohibited from wearing it. The men discuss how important it is to wear a suit on the first flight, but the man says that he has not studied enough to know how to do so. He says that the final checks before a flight must always be done on the notepads in the man's head, and that he still doesn't trust the man who checks the aircraft. He wonders why the man even uses a cane on the flight deck, and wonders why he is even using the cane when he is supposed to be using it. As the men prepare to depart, the man wonders if he has asked the woman to read his future before the flight, and he says that if he had known it would be like this, he would have asked her to do it. He curses the man for releasing smoke from the cabin during the first pre-flight check, and says that even though he does not need to, he is so merciless that he releases the smoke. He tells the man that he should have warned him of the smoke before the check, but that he did not, because the man threw up after the first check, so the man can call the test a day later if he wants. The captain tells the men to keep going, and they grab a piece of cake
