The next morning, the crew prepares to leave the International Space Station and head back to Earth. Deke remarks that he's feeling a little dizzy because he hasn't yet reached the moon. He suggests that they grab a bite to eat before they go back to the capsule. He's not sure what's going on with his younger brother, who's headed to the moon, but he does know that life is just like the moon: it's sunny, but sometimes there's a chill in the air that makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning. He tells Deke that his life is hiss alone, and that he can control it. He compares his life to that of a chief pilot instructor, who teaches him how to fly a jet. He says that if he becomes an astronaut, he'll be able to drive a jet the next time they meet.
