When the clock strikes midnight, the guys are all fidgety and staring at each other. One of them, Namba, is fidgety because he thinks he's the one who broke the timekeeper's clock. He's not the only one, though, and he tries to get the other guys to admit that they're responsible for the clock's failure. They're all too polite to each other, but Namba doesn't want to be one of them. He wants to know why they haven't been able to solve the puzzle yet. He asks them to put their puzzles back in the boxes and return them. They all agree that they should try to fix the clock, but they don't know how to do it. Namba says he'd better find a way to fix their broken friendships, since the clock will never be fixed. He tells them that they can fix their relationships if they just fix theirselves. They agree, and they all shake hands. They shake hands, and Namba hears that Brian jay had a "daugh ter" . He hears that the beer is coming from somewhere else, but he can't figure out why.
