The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for the moon. The men discuss their plans for the telescope, which is to be placed on the moon's surface. They have come up with a number of ways to accomplish the task, including using a special buggy to plant the telescope in the ground. They also plan to plant tennas, or small flowers, on the surface of the moon to mark the location of the telescope's launch pad. As the men prepare to leave, they are interrupted by the arrival of the chief butler, who has been sent to the crew as fast as he can.
