About This Chapter
This short scene opens with the announcement that the Apollo 11 capsule has landed on the moon, making it the first man ever to land on another world's surface. It is also the first time that humans have landed on another body other than the Earth. The capsule is equipped with a telescope, which allows it to view the Earth from a distance. The astronauts will be able to observe the Earth's rotation and the waxing and waning phases of the moon's moon cycle. They will also have the opportunity to see the Earth and its moons from different vantage points. This will enable them to better understand the moon cycle and its effects on the human body.
