In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's going to vanish into thin air. He's not sure if he'll make it to the end of the story, but he does know that it's "time for the news" . The narrator is in a Texas town, where a fire man has robbed a store, and a man has turned on the town's electric light, causing a disturbance in the town. He says he can't even see what's happening because of the dust in the man's eyes, and that's why he has to use the moon's dust to get rid of it. He also says that the man who turned off the electric light is a "regolith" , a chemical used in astronaut training. Regolith can cause a number of serious health problems, including asthma and even death, according to scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
