About This Chapter
The crew is getting ready to leave for the war, and everyone is worried about who will be chosen to go to the front. The only one who wants to go is Ursula, and she's worried that she won't be able to get a vote for herself. She suggests that everyone write down the names of two people they think would be good for the front, and then vote for one of them. This way, she says, everyone will know who they're voting for. She also suggests that they do it by asking themselves what the most fun thing to do would be. She says that, unlike a vote, there is no way for the people to rig the vote. So, the only way to make sure that no one is left out of the war is to vote for two people.
