About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the most qualified person to build the International Space Station is none other than the man himself. The man tells us that he's chosen the two men who've been to space twice, and they're better than him in every way. He's amazed that they've chosen him to be the man who'll be building the new observatory. He wants to know if they'll have to rerun the call to find out what's going on. The guy says he'll probably need 30 times the number of calls to make up for all the wasted time. He also says he wants to cut the cost of building the observatory by one-half of a million dollars. He asks the guy if he can give him a plan to do it. The dude says he can't give him that much money, but he'd assign him to the crew if he could do it in two months. Oh, and by the way, this is the guy who was supposed to be in charge of the space station when it was first built. He says he wishes he could have been in charge, but it's impossible to do that, since it would mean that he would have to go back to prison. Oh yeah, and the guy is also psyched to see the guy he was in charge with when he first came to the station. The other guy, who's also an astronaut, is psyched to meet the guy. He tells the guy that everyone has been praising him as a "bright star of hope." The guy asks him what he wants from her while she's in space, and he says he hopes she can help them with new drugs. He doesn't know why she won't talk to him,
