In this chapter, we meet the crew of the capsule that will be sent to the moon. We learn that the capsule will be a real thing, and that the pilot overcame his panic attack to be selected for the mission. We also learn that many people in Japan are worried about the safety of this capsule, because of the panic attack. The pilot tells us that he was playing catch with two other boys when he fell into a river and got soaked. Some housewives were angry at him because he was careless, but the pilot says that the other boys were the "pitcher screw" and the "catcher" , who is really talented.
