He also points out that the clock is missing because it's a time-lapse clock, which means that the crew has been in the capsule for a long time, and therefore, they have no idea how much time it has actually been since the clock was broken. The other crew members are also confused by the clock-breaking, and are wondering who did it, since they'd assumed that someone else was responsible for it. They all agree that Yonebayishi must have been the one who broke it, and that he must have known about it because he's the only guy who could have broken the clock.
