The next morning, Huck finds himself in the middle of a conversation with his friend, the "musta" . Huck is confused by the fact that the two of them are speaking in different languages. Huck tries to explain that they are speaking different languages, but Huck is unable to make sense of what he is saying. Huck tells the story of how, when he was a child, he was taught to read and write by his father. When Huck was a young boy, his father taught him to read, write, and speak. Huck's father died when Huck was only five years old. Huck and his father had a very difficult time adjusting to life in the United States because they were separated from their family for many years. Huck, however, was able to make up for his father's death by making up stories about his own childhood and his friendship with Huck. Huck feels that he has learned a great deal from the stories he has heard about Huck.
