The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for the International Space Station. As they prepare to leave, they are interrupted by the arrival of the mother and son of one of the capsule's crew members, the mission's pilot, and his wife, who have come from Japan to see them off. The mother tells the crew that she has come to thank them for their hard work in getting the capsule ready for launch. She also tells them that her daughter was a big-hearted child when she was younger, and that she tried to keep her emotions under control during her father's illness. When he died, she cried and wept for days, and she kept crying for days afterward. When they return to the capsule, the mother tells her daughter that she will soon be going to space herself.
