The next morning, the lunar module's pilot, Peter de Guiche, rides with the rest of the crew to the lunar landing site, where they practice driving the lunar buggy. He tells them that the brakes on the buggy are not nearly as effective on the moon as they are on Earth, and that they should ask De Guiche about this. He also praises the work of the entire crew, especially the two new lunar module crew members, and thanks them all for their hard work. He wonders if they should tell the other crew members that they're leaving, but Peter says it's too soon to do so, and they'll have to figure out a way to get him back.
