The engineers decide to solve their rover problem first, since they can't build a rover that can jump over obstacles. The only thing they could do is to make the tires bigger, but that would be too heavy, and it would take too long to build. So they make the wheels out of sponge, which is light and cheap. The next problem is to build a landing chute for the rover.
