About This Chapter
The crew of the capsule, which is headed to the International Space Station, has a new problem to solve. They want to know how long it will take them to complete a 180-piece puzzle without a picture. The clock has gone missing, and they don't know how to solve the problem. They're not sure how long they've been in space, but they're sure they'll be able to solve it in 15 minutes. The crew is all, "Gee, what a waste of time" , and the only person who can figure out how long the puzzle will take is the guy who broke the clock in the first place. The rest of the crew, including Yonebayashi, are confused, and Yonebayachi says he doesn't understand why they didn't notice the clock going missing earlier. He's not the only one who can't figure out why the clock went missing. He also points out that the clock is missing because it's a time-lapse clock, which means that the crew has been in the capsule for a long time, and therefore, they have no idea how much time it has actually been since the clock was broken. The other crew members are also confused by the clock-breaking, and are wondering who did it, since they'd assumed that someone else was responsible for it. They all agree that Yonebayishi must have been the one who broke it, and that he must have known about it because he's the only guy who could have broken the clock.
