About This Chapter
The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for the moon, and Valeria is worried about her brother's health. She's worried that he's going to have a seizure, but he doesn't seem to have one. He's fine, she tells him, and they're going to go ahead anyway. Valeria wonders if they'll be able to get Valeria back to Earth if they have to go back to the capsule, but Valeria assures her brother that she'll make it back safely. They're about to leave the capsule when Valeria sees a green card on the capsule warning them that it's full of co2 and that they need to stop the mission step. The green card is a warning signal that something's wrong with Valeria's body, but it'll probably be fine if they just go ahead and do what they've been instructed to do. They tie the umbilical cord around the capsule's neck, and then Valeria looks out the window to see what's up. She sees that the green card isn't there, but she's not worried about it, because she knows that Valeria will be fine. She tells Valeria not to worry, though, because Valeria won't have any seizures. They go back inside the capsule to check out the co2 count, and when they come back, Valeria tells them that the mission has been canceled. They don't know what to do, so they go back outside to check it out. They see that the warning signal is gone, but they'd better hurry back inside to check on Valeria before they leave.
