The doctor tells the group that he's going to perform an operation on Mae's heart. They're not sure what to do with it, but they're determined to save her. Mae says that she's not sure if she wants to live or die, but she knows that if they don't do something, she'll die. The doctor says he'll sterilize the heart with river water. Mae is all, "I'm going to be the best doctor in the world when I'm dead" . She's so excited to be a doctor that she doesn't even want to hold a scalpel for five years . But the doctor reassures her that she won't be the only one who'll benefit from the operation. He also reassures them that the operation will be a success.
