About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the four toothed tigers are all on the mountain, and that Omori is the only one left standing. Omori tells Mina that he cannot fight because he cannot even hit an enemy. Mina asks him what is wrong, and he tells her that everyone is having a hallucinatory experience. Mina says that she thought the apparition was going to strangle her to death, but when she saw him, she thought he was real. Mina explains that she has heard that altitude sickness can cause people to have hallucinating experiences, but that she still doesn't understand why everyone in the mountain is having such an experience. She also says that the marks on Mina's neck remind her of a stigma, a mark on a person's body that is invisible to the naked eye.
