About This Chapter
The next morning, Mina and the others examine the corpses of the dead heroes. They do not find any signs of illness, and Mina wonders if the bird attack might have something to do with the fact that they are all eating so much. Mina asks the flight attendant if there is anything strange about the deaths, but she does not know what it is. Mina wonders why they are not able to find out the cause of the deaths. She wonders if it is because they are eating too much, and wonders if they are able to tell when the birds will return. She asks if they can tell when they will return, but they do not know. They wonder if they will be able to prevent it, but Mina says that they cannot prevent it right away. Mina says they need to check all the bodies, and she wonders if anyone has heard the bug call. They find blood on the body of a bug, and they wonder if the bug is the same one that killed the three heroes. Mina thinks that the bug might be a tick, but the others say that it is a lily bug, which causes paralysis and death. They gather around the corpses, but there is no one to explain what is wrong.
