Back at the camp, the guys are bummed that the smoke screen is gone. They're bummed because they can't help anyone who's hurt. They don't even know what happened to Tokiwa, miyauchi, and tokiwa's bodies. Everyone's got a bad case of the plague, and they're not even sure what to do with the rest of the group. The guys decide to take care of the people who are trapped in the pits, but they've got to figure out a way to help the people trapped in them. They decide to go to the pit where Hiroyuki fell in, but Hiroyuki's not there yet, so they'll have to figure it out on their own. Hiroyuki tells the guys to go check on Hiroyuki, because she's on the opposite side of the pit from the monster. He tells them to run straight for the monster, because the monster's field of vision looks like it's about 360 feet away from the pit. He also tells them not to worry, because he's going to find out what's wrong with Hiroyuki. He says that Hiroyuki rolled right between the monster and her, and Hiroyuki doesn't know what to make of it. He's so confused that he can barely move. He screams and yells at the monster to stop coming, but he can only get so far before the monster stomps him out of the pits. He thinks he hears a shadow coming from the other side, so he runs straight for it, but the monster is too close to Hiroyuki for him to move, so Hiroyuki runs back to the camp to try to help. He can'
