When Toru tells him that the Ape has gone, Toru wonders if something terrible has happened. He follows the footprints on the cliff and wonders where Zena and her companions have gone. When he looks at the sen goku, he wonders if the Ape is imitating humans. He wonders if they are fixated on people, and if they killed the Torc because he was one of them. He then wonders why they attacked them, and wonders if it is because they were so cagey before. He thinks that the first time they came into contact with humans, the Ape decided that they were fixated on humans, and that they killed Zena because of it. He also wonders if he is weak enough to protect Zena from the Ape, who seems to think that he is only a little sister. He decides that he and Toru should go after the Ape and rescue them.
