The three men huddle together and discuss the situation. They realize that they have no time to escape before the crocodiles attack them. They decide to hide in a thicket and try to get away from the crocodiles. They are joined by uchimura, who tells them that they can still escape if they run into any crocodiles. He tells them to come back for him if they see any danger. They do not want to leave the three men behind, because the crocodiles are closing in. . Before he leaves, however, he tells the others that he has something he wants to do before he dies. He asks them to stay out of the way so that he can do it, but they refuse, saying that they are here to rescue him.
