Still, he's glad to see him, because they've known each other since grade school. They've had a lot of nasty things to say to each other, and now they're happy to see each other. They go off together into the woods together, and he runs off to find them. When he finds them, he wants to know what's going on, but he can't figure out what they were talking about that night. He's not sure if she'll be saved if he kills her, but she's definitely going to die if he doesn't kill her. So, he tells himself, he has to kill her if he wants her to be saved. He tells himself that killing her is the only way he can save her.
