About This Chapter
It's been a while since we've seen a ghost, but now we're introduced to a mysterious lady. She's wearing a hat, and she's got a weird look on her face. We're not sure what it's supposed to be, but we do know that the hat's made out of seaweed, which means that it must have gotten swept away during the recent high tide. We also learn that the place is a lighthouse, which is basically a marker that ships can use to navigate their way to port. There are over 30,000 lighthouses in Japan alone, but none of them require any kind of personnel. The only thing that's weird about this place is that there's no light at all. Uh-oh. It looks like the roof's rusted, and the only way to get to the top is to climb down the stairs. We learn that there are signs of suspension above the roof, which suggests that something's up there. The mysterious lady asks us to imagine what it would be like to be a dead body in a tomb, and we agree.
