About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Miina and the others are talking about the encounter with the monster. Miina is dressed in a school jacket, which she has soiled with the stomach acid. She tells the others that the monster is still alive, but its organs are still sluggish. She says that they are going to punish Miina for making them worry, and that she would like to kill the monster herself. She also tells them that the others saw a shadowy figure, but that cannot be right, because the monster won. She adds that despite its being a monster, it couldnt take the pain of its eyes being gouged out, so it would not stop until it was dead. She asks the others if they know that the island near Okayinawa may lead to another place, and if they do, she asks them not to mention her to akira.
