This is a locked chapterChapter 55: A Misty Mountain
About This Chapter
The mountain is still covered in mist, and Hiroyuki is still wondering who the heck he is. He's not sure if he's going to make it to the summit or not. Hiroyuki tells him to slow down a little, because the mountain is getting steeper and steeper. He tells Hiroyuki to warn everyone if he sees a rock falling, and to guard the back of his head with both his legs. He says that he has an uncle who loves mountain climbing, and he has been tagging along with him a few times, so he knows a thing or two about mountain climbing. He also says that those who have stamina should keep moving on, and those with illnesses should be brought back to the front of the line. The wind is picking up, and the mist is getting thicker. He wonders if he could have seen Hiroyuki climbing the mountain alone, and if he must have been with someone else. Then he wonders if the mist created the tracks on the mountain when Hiroyuki's corpse rolled down. He doesn't know if it was Hiroyuki or someone else, but he does know that Hiroyuki and the other climber both died instantly, and that they were both killed by the mist. He asks if it's possible that they could have killed each other, but Hiroyuki says that they couldn't, because they were matsuki, which means that they didn't attack each other.
