This is a locked chapterChapter 1: What a Wonderful World
About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a group of students discussing the day's events. They're discussing the fact that Hiroshi ate lunch and that he's been waiting for three years for his class to start. Hiroshi is a member of the school's volleyball team. He's a good player and is popular with the other students. One of the students, akira kun, asks Hiroshi why he doesn't laugh at his best friend, rion, when they're talking in English. The other students, however, don't seem to be having any fun at all. They all mutter incoherently, and one of them, a sprint pant, says that he has a cell phone and that there's something else in the room that's scared him off. The sprint pant says that a bird has landed on the ground and that it's looking like an ostrich. The sprinter says that this is the first time he'd ever seen anything like it. He also says that the bird looked like it had gone extinct some time ago, and that the island that it was supposed to be on didn't exist.
