In this chapter, Dr. Bledsoe and the others discuss how they came to be in the position they are in. They were trapped in the mountain for eight months, and they didn't know what to do with themselves. They had to find a way to escape, and the only way to do so was to kill more people. They've killed people, lit fires, destroyed villages and whatnot, but they haven't killed anyone. They are the "demon warriors" , and only when they kill more, they'll be able to become the "true four nut heads" . They don't care what others think of them, they just want to kill as many people as they can. The only thing they care about is themselves, and this is why they're called "demons." They're the ones who kill people, not because they want to be killed, but because they have to do it. They can't really care about anything else, because they've got their own self-interest at the top of their minds. They just wanted to get out of the mountain as quickly as possible. They asked Dr. Barlow where they could find the herbs they needed, and he told them where to find them in the "transcendent realm." They were released because they weren't responsible for the destruction of the city, and because they were skilled enough to use their combined attack formation to destroy the city.
