In this chapter, we learn that the alchemist of the Flower Rain Tower, M. tao, is a disciple of a man named Hu, who is also known as the "poison king." The poison king is a member of the "monarch sect" , and he is also the chief alchemist at the flower-rain-tower. M.tao asks if he can see Hu, and the alchemist tells him that he is the owner of the place, even though he is not the chief. The alchemist says that the old woman, who has been poisoned, is still able to make a sound, and that it is only a matter of a person with a "prominent level of cultivation" who can do such a thing. The old woman is poisoned by the "floral cloud palm," but the alchemist explains that the palm was not the cause of the woman's appearance. He explains that he has been studying the ingredients of an antidote for the poison for three years, and over the past few years, he has realized that the antidote is not an antidote at all, but rather a poison. He says that each of the seven medicinal ingredients is a "rare treasure," and that if the poison had not been frozen, the woman would have died. He asks if the monarch sect is involved in the poison, and chu says that they are doomed. He wants to summon the "honorable patriarchs" and fight the "jerks to death."
