In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of new characters, including the Flower Rain Tower's guards, and Zhengzhou's master, Zhengzhou. We learn that Zhengzhou has come to get the "divine elixir" from Zhengzhou, and that he is afraid that he cannot defeat Zhengzhou because of the "unpredictable" nature of the fight. Zhengzhou asks Zhengzhou why he is there, and the master explains that he wants to see if Zhengzhou can defeat him. He tells Zhengzhou that the ring with the elixir has been kept under his order, and if he returns it, he will be furious. Believing that the plan was to give the elixir to Zhengzhou in case of an unforeseen event, the master says that he would be confident to give it to him, a cripple, for safety's sake. The ring is empty, but Zhengzhou is confident that he will defeat him, because he has the "real elixir" in his hand. He says that the moment of gain or loss doesn't matter, because the "momentum of gain" does not matter, and he will leave Zhengzhou alone. He explains that the previous plan was for Zhengzhou to prepare for the fight, but now that he has gotten the elixir, he plans to use it to train the other members of the group. He also explains that there are still some people who have not joined the plan, but that they are now afraid of Zhengzhou and become his "burdens." Zhengzhou wonders why he has allowed the people of the flower-rain tower to go, but the master replies that he does not want to let them go because he fears that they will join the plan and become a burden. He adds that the demon cultivation is "ruthless," and that this is why he will have to send the people back immediately.
