This chapter opens with a description of the patriarch of the Ming family, who is described as cunning and crafty. The patriarch explains that he has been using his position as a patriarch to trick other patriarchs in the past, and that he will continue to do so in the future. He says that the only way to escape from the Ming patriarch is to flee Ming's hiding place. The three brats decide to do just that. They decide to set up a formation and fight Ming to death.
