The only thing that makes him feel better is that he's better than the other alchemists in the game. He says that the kid who always stays around here is too dangerous, and he sends him away. The kid who ran away from the poison king was the one who proposed that they form an alliance with him. The poison king is now about to succeed, and the alchemists are worried that they'll lose.
