The chapter opens with the student council discussing the results of the entrance exam for college. The two students discuss whether or not they've passed, and the student wonders why they haven't congratulated each other on their scores. The student says he's sure he passed, but he can't think of anything else to say. He's worried that if he doesn't pass, he'll have to stay in school for another year, which means he won't be able to have sex with Ryoko. He tells Ryoko that he loves her, but if he fails, she'll hate herself for it.
