18_ Cleaning Duty
This is a locked chapter18_ Cleaning Duty
About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a description of cleaning duties. It is obvious that the students are leaving the school to do their duty. The narrator asks the students if they are clean-ing all by themselves. The students answer that they are, and the narrator tells the students that he has been talking to them about this topic. He tells them that he will give them a hand in the future. He asks if they do help clean, and they tell him that they do not. He then asks if he is the only one who cleans, and says that he wants to help because he likes to keep things tidy. He says that his friend, Sugawara, has been teaching him this, and that he is afraid to do it because he does not want to get into trouble. He apologizes for not realizing how embarrassing it is, and he says that no one has ever taught him about this before. He adds that he knows that Suluwara is on cleaning duty, but that he wanted to help him because he was afraid to get in trouble. Sulu's response is that he would like to help, but he is too slow to do so. He wants to hurry up, and Sulu tells him to be patient.
