In this short scene, the narrator laments the fact that her boyfriend is not talking to her about his feelings for her. He seems to be "pushing" her away from him, and she wonders why he is doing this. She asks him why one of his friends showed up at her school, and he tells her that it was because he was passing by. She tells him that her friend, Katori, is doing well in her studies, and that she is "so cute" that she can't stop talking about her. The narrator tells the girl that if she were in love with him, he would "push her down" and she would "get burned." The girl agrees with the narrator, and the two begin to argue about whether or not it would be better for the girl to go to college with him instead of her friend.
