About This Chapter
In this short scene, the Governess tries to keep her temper in check. She asks Sol and Ganymede if they are "child hood friends" and if they have "crushes" on each other. Sol says he doesn't have any crush on anyone, but he does have someone he "likes" . The Governess tells him to stop talking about them and to act like they are just childhood friends. She tells him that he should not act like he knows anything about her because he has someone he likes . He tells her that he never said anything like that and that he is sorry that they got the idea that they were "childhood friends" because they already have someone they like. He asks her to borrow his English text book so that he can read it in case he needs it in the future. She says she can't borrow his text book because he is lying. He apologizes for getting into trouble with her, and she says that he always had her back, but because they are childhood friends, he feels sorry for getting between them. He wants her to help him in any way she can. He says he wants to pay her back for always helping him.
