This is a locked chapter133_ Wanting to Be Alone With You
About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that the two of them are going to check out the grottoes. They're not sure if they're okay or not. The narrator says that he's feeling sick and needs to go back to the bath room. He wants to use the room, but the narrator says it's better to go with the girl. He's glad that she's not a boy, because he thinks it'll be safer for them to be alone together. He also says that the girl is the only one happy about the whole thing. He tells the narrator to keep his arm around the girl so that she won't be tempted to run away. He says that if he had a boy with him, he'd be happy with it. He asks the narrator if he feels better, and the narrator replies that he does, but he feels a little weird. He thinks about how he can spend time with the people around him. He thanks the girl for coming, and she says that she doesn't mind if he stays with her, because she'd rather spend time alone with her than with a boy. She tells him that she feels guilty for being so nice to him, and that she can't leave him behind. She asks him if he still feels sick, and he tells her that he feels bad, but that he can handle a scolding from the narrator. He adds that he and the girl went out together, and they did the three-legged race together. They were friends, he says, and now he feels guilty because he lied to her. He apologizes, and says he'll never be friends with her again. She says she was just being nice, but now she feels sorry for lying to her, and asks him why he wanted to stay with her alone. He answers that he was just doing what anyone would do, and so he wants to be with her. She's sorry, but she still wants to stay, too, because her face is red
