The narrator tells us that his friend is in college, and he's been hanging out with him a lot. He's a little shy, though, because he hasn't been spending much time with him. The narrator asks him what's bothering him, and the guy says that he doesn't want to go out with anyone. He wants to hang out with his friends, but he can't seem to find a way to do that. The two of them start hanging out more and more, and it's getting to the point where they're talking on the phone, which is awkward for the narrator, who's used to being the center of attention. He tries to get the guy to give him something to eat, but the guy won't give him anything, so the two start talking about how much fun it is to be friends again, and how he used to be so full of himself before they started hanging out, but now that they've all been out together, he has become more "dependable able." The narrator tries to make the guy feel better by asking him if he feels better now that he has more "dependency." The guy is all, "Oh, no, no . . It's no ing, really . with you ! you snake !" . The guy says, "I'm not, I'm just back to form" , and then he tries to call him by his first name, which makes the narrator feel all "itchy" . But the guy is still not used to this kind of behavior, so he asks if he can be treated like a "gar bage" or "al dum." . And the guy's like, "Hey, that mean, was i, oh, really ? Then call me by first name , huh ?" . Then the guy calls him "hi"
