This is a locked chapter28_ Wounded Angel
About This Chapter
In this short scene, the cat addresses the reader as "Kumper." He tells us that he has been asked by wounded angels for advice on how to keep a secret his love for a man. He says that his love was "like a sparkler" and that he will not tell anyone about it. He tells the reader that he was already rejected by another man before he met the man he loves. He asks the cat to give him a kiss, but the cat refuses, saying that she will have to leave him if she does not. She tells the cat that she is the one who has been beaten up by the men chasing her, and she blames herself for making the men chase her. She says that if she were with her, she would die. The cat tells the kitten that the men are chasing her because she is popular, and if she is not popular, she will hurt someone again. The kitten says that the only reason she is so popular is because the god of love decrees that she should be popular. If she were to hurt someone, she says, then she would invitably hurt someone else again. She asks the kitten not to treat her like a fool, because she wants to be by her side, but she tells him that he is not yet ready for the moves he is about to make.
